[Despite the ship's ongoing problems with the power, and the underlying feeling of danger from knowing the one responsible for the murders still hasn't been caught, the skaters try to make the best of the situation. With that in mind, Yurio's birthday seems like the perfect thing to latch onto. The only problem is, with parts of the ship still malfunctioning, their options for celebrating are rather limited.

Yuuri looks between the other three, biting his lip as he wracks his mind for ideas.]

We could try the Shopping Centre, see if any of the restaurants are open?

[The emergency lighting all around the ship makes for a rather gloomy atmosphere, though.]

[Yuri's birthday had provided the start to the perfect distraction. All of them needed a break--Otabek thought Yuuri and Viktor might need it more than the newest of their group did if he were honest--and a celebration was a perfect excuse to cut back.

The problem being that the current situation wasn't exactly accommodating to such things. At. All.]

If they have power...Possible, considering the center might hold necessities.

[It was worth a shot, though if power were diverted anywhere, he'd doubt it would be to restaurants when things like oxygen supplies and air filtration were needed. Still, the possibility did exist. However minute it was.]

He remembers before counting down the days, because he had a ticket to Moscow to visit his grand father and like hell he was going to miss that. Now here he was stuck in space. Just a sixteenth birthday. If the restaurants aren't open, how about we cook in?

In reality, it's what they've been doing for basically the last few weeks. Even longer, as far as Yuuri and Viktor are concerned. Practically since December fifteenth, as far as Viktor was concerned. Still, it might be the most viable course of action, as the shops appear to still largely be on lockdown.

Sure did make checking his work schedule insanely easy. )

[Yuuri brightens up at the suggestion.] Ah, we might have enough supplies to make katsudon if that's the case. [He might be biased toward the dish, as everyone in the room probably knows, but he's also aware that Yurio's grown fond of it, too.]

The rink? [Now he just looks at Viktor dubiously.] Skating only with the emergency lights on sounds like asking for trouble....
