( Peas in a metaphorical pod; Victor nods, expression still one of concentration even as the song ends and he pulls his head back, tapping fingers on the table. he pulls up his comm to jot down a few notes; a step sequence, another, here a jump, what focus with his body, his hands, his arms...

he blinks and looks up to Eichi, flashing him a grin. )

I'll have to, yes. As long as you stay bundled, you're invited to come as artistic commentary. Doesn't mean I'll listen, but I'll hear it.

( honesty may be worth something. Victor's is largely as blunt as he is, offhand, most the time. )

It'll be at odd hours when Yuuri's elsewhere for any large segment of the new program.

You have such strong opinions that I'd never dream of changing your mind, Victor. ♪ Fufufu, still, it would be fun to watch and throw my own opinions at you, even still. It will be a learning experience for the both of us.

[So, in other words, he definitely wants to watch.] It's difficult to keep track of time here, you know? So it doesn't matter to me when you practice, so long as I get to see it with my own eyes.

( He laughs at that, sitting back, self aware of how this had been the way his own coach worked with him in the end. Trying to curb some of his impulses, but ultimately speaking to a person who might hear, and choose not to listen. Like never having a back up if he flubs a jump.

I'll send you an invite when I'm about to hit the ice, but you know, you are welcome to watch when Yuuri practices. Or we can set up the video if that's easier at the time.

Oh, Yuuri won't be too shy? I'd love to watch him on the ice, as well. If possible, it's always more exciting to watch something like this in person, but if my health is so bad that I can't go out, I'll settle for video.

[Though, from the shine in his eyes, it's clear he's already imagining the feel of the rink.]

You may be surprised at the confidence that he allows himself to feel while on the ice.

( Said with a finger brought up and pressed to his lips; there are a number of astounding changes in demeanor that Yuuri undergoes when on the ice, and Victor adores each and every one. From sassy, to hard as hell on himself; though it is harder, standing to the side and watching the pain and knowing there is only so much he can do as a coach, as support, as a love to mitigate what Yuuri does in his own head. Believe in me more than I believe in myself!

That he does. That he will always do. )

One way or the other, we'll make sure you experience the thrill of watching him skate from the sidelines of the ice.

You two are so close, for knowing each other such a short amount of time.

[Eichi says it seemingly out of nowhere, but he's just admiring it with a smile. Victor's face is always pleasant when he speaks about Yuuri, and Eichi is glad to be able to witness it, as well as see them perform like this. He's eager for it.]

I'm envious. I'll be there to support you both from the sidelines, for whatever shows or practicing you might do.

( he admits this easily enough; paired with an easy sort of tilt to his head, considering, one finger tapping against his lips. )

It's nothing I would have expected. It's what we found.

( after months, and through a shared love of what they did on the ice, and it is so, so wrapped up in the sport that's defined both their lives. perhaps for different reasons; but no less striking ones. he seems to focus in on Eichi again after a moment. his smile is pleasant; an understated sort of pleasure he extends to a friend. )
