[ surprise jyn is here to ruin your manly bonding with her girlish ways! she's yanking a shirt on over her pants when cassian comes back inside and raises her eyebrows. ]

Did he? Victor's a braver man than I am. [ not in part because she is... not a man, but it's a good expression nonetheless. it's also not hard for her to spot the doctor and the stranger because, like victor, they both tower over her and it's that more than there suddenly being too many people in their tiny room that makes her nose scrunch up and her arms cross over her chest.

[Leonard scowls. You'd think doctors came with the plague the way these people kept reactin to 'em. The hell happened with doctors to make them all so goddamn flighty?

Either way, he follows them all in and waits only a moment for them to quit with the introductions. He's honestly about to just start doing the check up without permission when he notices the lady in the room. It makes him stop and nod his head with all the manners his southern upbringing has given him.]

Sorry. [ He lets Bones's apology count for the both of them, only offering that word with an apologetic smile aimed her way. ] This is Dr. McCoy. I'm Jim Kirk— [ A pause as he glances at Bones. ] Provisional nurse.

[ And before Cassian even answers Bones's question, he's already setting down the medkit he's carrying, opening it and getting the tools he knows Bones will need to check for any injuries. Better to just get this over with, buddy. ]

( still not the time to ask about self defense, but he's... quite glad she's moved back in with Cassian. he feels like it's better for them both. he does laugh at the quip about his apparent bravery: ah, what wit everyone has around here. )

Just remembered a few wise words about what experience might not teach us.

( he has apparently decided to leave Cassian to the mercies of two other space men, while, you know, deciding to converse with Jyn. as one does. )
