[After a handful of people expressed interest in learning how to make Valentine's Day chocolates, somehow what had started as tentative plans between a couple friends turned into a full on workshop.

The prep took a couple days, but in the end things were ready! The kitchens of Vkusno! Shaved Ice were secured for melting down the chocolates. The tables and chairs in the shop proper were all equipped with chocolate molds, decoration toppings, and other tools for anyone who stopped by to use. All that was left was to send out the invites via network:]

"Oh!" Yuuri's smile brightens suddenly. "Pidge, it's me--Yuuri. It's good to meet you in person."

He pops behind the counter and brings out a plate of chocolates in the shape of stars. There are only a handful of chocolate pieces in this first batch, and they're a bit lumpy in some places. They'll taste fine when she actually eats them, though.

"Here. Tell me what you think?" Yuuri watches her anxiously.

"Oh, Yuuri!" Her face brightens instantly (not that it wasn't already bright of course).

"Nice to meet you in person. Thanks for your help on my post the other day." She leans over the counter to examine the chocolate, tongue poking from between her teeth before she finally settles on one and pops it into her mouth without hesitation. The reaction is nothing short of ecstatic and she leans against the counter with a happy sigh.

"Oh my gosh, chocolate!" She's beaming, grinning from ear to ear.

"No problem," Yuuri says easily as he watches her examine the chocolate with an anxious flutter of his stomach. "Did you ever figure out who messed around with your room?"

His question's quickly forgotten, though, when she actually samples the treat. He breaks into a relieved smile that's just as happy and wide as hers is. At least he knows they'll taste fine, even if they're not the prettiest thing ever! Her reaction has him incredibly amused, too. "I take it you have something of a sweet tooth?"

"Kinda. Mostly it's just--no familiar food for a while and you get cravings super bad, you know?" Pidge laughs and sneaks another piece of chocolate, hurriedly popping it into her mouth before Yuuri can object. She's just gonna revel in this.

"I think I figured it out. Not sure though... But I kinda have more important things to focus on now."

His lips twist wryly when he spots her taking another chocolate, and he shakes his head before pushing the plate at her. "You can have these if you want," he tells her before she has to resort to being sneaky again. "I'm making another batch later to try and get the shape right." It's his first attempt at making honmei choco for anyone, and he wants to get it right.

"What kind of food did you guys eat in the castle?" Yuuri watches Pidge curiously. So far most of his conversations with Allura and Shiro have been about the problems on board the Eluvio, and he hasn't had a chance to really ask them about much else. "There's a bunch of substitute food in the Shopping Centre here. I would've thought it'd be easy to find stuff like that if you've been traveling in space for a while."

"Really?" Part of her wants to just eat all of them, but there's a pang of sympathy and guilt as she remembers Lance, Shiro, and Keith. She should share. Carefully she begins gathering the chocolates into a bag to take with her--she'll message them later.

"Mostly it was this green food goop. I dunno what it really was. But it wasn't like, food from home." She sighs. "Yeah, I'll have to check out the shopping center."

“Food….goop?” The horrified face he makes as he repeats those words probably says it all. He can’t imagine being stuck in space and only able to eat something that sounded so unappetizing.

“What did it taste like?”

[sweatysometimes]

"Uh... It was just kinda generally edible. Pretty bland, really." Pidge replies with a shrug and a smile.

"You got used to it, after a while."

"If that's all you had to eat for a while, it's no longer you want chocolate so badly," Yuuri says with a great amount of feeling. Loving food as much as he does, living on a diet of food goop just sounds like a nightmare.

"Being pulled away from home isn't great, but at least you'll have a lot of food options while you're on board here."
