[He's not sure if he can keep it together like this. The air feels heavy already, for a guy who needed an oxygen tank at hand even before oxygen was low. His heart is beating too fast from the way everything is happening, and his chest hurts. His legs feel weak. Even as he lifts his wrist to point the comm ahead of them like instructed, the light shakes gently along with his hand.

How pathetic. He really is pathetic. Victor keeps having to grab him, and he can't keep steady at all.]

It won't be boring at all, will it? Still, normally, I enjoy thrilling things, you know? But this is getting to be too much even for me. I hope it's not a total failure of power for good. I won't make it long like that at all.

[ it's not a particularly reassuring entrance, but carolina's not thrilled about current events. still, a familiar voice as she'd been on her way to the elevators to get back to her room has her inserting herself into their conversation. she might be able to be of help, after all.

her own wrist comm lit up to guide her, she bounces easily off a nearby wall and lands near them with her hand hooking what had been a light on the ceiling. she moves gracefully, like she's perfectly used to being without gravity, because she is. but usually zero g situations have her in armour, not workout clothes. ]

( he directs his comm toward the woman speaking, keeping it aimed away from her face. it takes a moment for him to match voice to a face and a name; if he hadn't been trying harder to remember these things here, he doesn't know if he'd have been able to manage a: )

Carolina?

( he thinks that's her correct name. )

A little surprised, and a little shaken, but not injured. ( but he also says, completely without pause or inflection: ) Eichi has a heart condition that tends to make things hit him harder.

( it's a blunt assessment because it's information about why this isn't as simple as working with people who had physical health up to the task. )

You know, when I talked about this last time, I wasn't expecting a dramatic first hand experience less than a month later. Are you okay? Has it been like this through the rest of the exercise area?

[...Mm, does he have to be so blunt with it? Eichi is immediately irritated, but at the same time, he's terrified of everything that's happening. He's been wrestling with keeping it together for too long now, and even if he's managed enough of a grasp on himself to move with Victor like this and not curl into himself, it's still a fragile thing.]

[ a flat, even statement of fact, as far as she's concerned. she follows it up with a shake of her head. ] The whole training area's offline, but since comms are down, too, I'm willing to bet the whole ship's having issues. So where can I help you get to? No offense, but you both desperately look like you need it.

( it's a short, final statement; he's not just leaving you to deal, Eichi. he'd actually prefer the irritation, not that he's overaware at causing it right now.

normally he'd literally wave off the offense; none was taken in the first place. he's worried, and he knows the strain shows in the set of his shoulders when he's holding position. he makes himself relax when he's moving, but right now he's mostly accommodating Eichi and sending him a silent apology in his mind. )

I was suspecting that might be true. As for where — my room, please. Yuuri and my dog are there.

( he rattles off a room and floor number. it's the first underlying stress that he allows to be heard. Yuuri can be a desperation button for Victor; his dog is another, but there are facts he's come to accept about Makkachin and their mismatched lifespans that he does not accept when it comes to handling his concerns for Yuuri's mental sanctity. he knows that ultimately, he'll be fine. Yuuri is a strong person.

but he wants to be there to help make things easier right now. when extra support, even if that support can't make things better, can at least make them less isolating and lonely. )
