[The desk. He reaches for it and clings, trying to pull himself a little closer to the floor as he looks over his shoulder and back to the couple sorting things out. It's honestly something else to watch. Their closeness, their way of handling it, and their anxiousness together. There's such a beautiful bond.]

Ah, Yuuri is finally back. [He says "finally" as if it's been years.] Victor has been terribly worried about you, you know? Half of the time while we were on our way over here, unrelated statements would remind him of you, and I could swear I heard his worried mutters.

[That could be true or an outright lie just to tease...]

( he chuckles; at Eichi's words, yes, without correcting him for the teasing or the honesty also buried in such statements. he tightens his hold on Yuuri, pulling him and Makkachin more fully against his chest, allowing himself a moment to simply bug them both and breathe out. )

I'm here. I've got you.

( he's not leaving him to truly be alone. )

Eichi is always flattering. He was with me at the rink this morning, helping me review the sound system and the lights. Looks like we're going to have to postpone the show, hm?

( more words, allowing both Eichi and Yuuri to focus on that if it's what they need or want to do. )

[Yuuri lets himself be held, even as he keeps his own hold on Makkachin and runs still-trembling fingers through the poodle's curly fur in an effort to soothe himself. It works, somewhat.

He looks over at Eichi with concern.]

Is the rest of the ship like this, too?

[The hallway outside the bunk looks dark, but he can't be certain when the network's down and he's been trapped in here since the power went out.]

That's what it seems like.

[Eichi answers Yuuri's question, keeping a smile on his face that's a little less calm than usual. He's so cold, though, and since they've had their moment... He eyes them from where he stands at the table, judging the distance before he pushes himself off.

It's not smooth at all, and he crashes right into the two of them, clinging to them both. Hi.] Oops.

( He has time to adjust, turning just enough so that Eichi crashes into them and Victor is controlling how they shift back, catching them with his hooked foot and keeping his arms full of people and dog and a huffed out exhalation as they switch orientation, drifting down toward the ground until Victor carefully throws himself forward to correct the rotation. )

Ooph. So eager, Eichi! Yuuri, will you invite our young friend into your blanket? He's been having to suffer the cold the whole way over here. You know what they say when you have only one blanket!

( Strip naked and share? Victor smiles, tipping his head toward Yuuri: )

Snuggle close and share! Makkachin is a good heater, and Yuuri, he's pretty good too.

( It's teasing and light and it's meant to be both, while keeping Eichi close as well by choice. )

[Recognizing what Viktor's doing, Yuuri manages to muster a strained smile as he shifts to offer Eichi one end of the blanket. Though part of him still wants to hide away on his own, he recognizes the severity of the situation. Pulling Eichi closer when he reminds himself of that isn't a hardship.]

Is this okay, Eichi? [Makkachin chooses that moment to wriggle closer to Viktor, almost sending himself floating back into the air.] Ah, Makkachin--!

It's much better than standing over there on my own, you know? I was beginning to feel lonely.

[Ah, but Makkachin! Quickly, he reaches out with both hands to catch the dog, pulling him carefully back to himself and Yuuri.] Sorry, Makkachin. It's not good to get too excited. I just showed that, didn't I? Fufu, stay here and let's all keep warm together. ♪

[The more he speaks, the more it's clear every word has a slight tremble to it, showing just how cold he is. He's the type of person that always manages to be cold, even when it's a nice temperature, so it's no wonder.]

[genice]

( One way or another, it seems like he's ended up with a team of sorts here; Yuuri and Eichi and Makkachin, and he finds that's both settling somewhere inside himself, and also steadying. There's more to be figured out, and they don't have an easy means of learning.

But they do have each other. That matters. Victor doesn't speak so much as decide to smile in the dark, pulling the edges of the blankets closer together once Eichi has pulled his dear, beloved dog back into the fold of warmth. )

Good boy.

( Which one? He doesn't say. )

We really need to know more about what's going on. Yuuri, Eichi, will you keep an eye on Makkachin and keep him close to the ground in case the gravity comes back on? Or on the bed, it might be easier to anchor there. I don't want him getting hurt in a fall.

Thanks for catching him, Eichi. [Though he knows they could've caught Makkachin from the air eventually, Eichi's quick actions had saved them some time. Yuuri's grateful for the warmth when they all huddle together. It's a welcome contrast to freezing alone, like he and Makkachin had been doing before Viktor and Eichi arrived.

Yuuri looks up at Viktor, worry already stirring in him.]

You're leaving?

[Eichi is quiet, even if his response to Yuuri is to keep holding and petting Makkachin. His gaze turns to Victor at Yuuri's question, and his eyes echo the same one. Why would he be leaving on his own?]

[genice]

( He leans in just as much as he needs to in order to press a kiss to Yuuri's forehead. Not that he holds back much in the first place; Makkachin ends up getting a kiss on the nose right after, and Eichi a ruffle of his hair. )

The communication network is down, and we don't know how the efforts to restore order are going. I want to see if I can track down one of the crewmembers, see what they've heard. But to do that and not be worried about you both the whole time, I'm going to need you to be here for each other. Not to mention for Makkachin, huh, boy?

( he smiles in the darkness, but his voice has kept to an even, serious tone. information is important, and they need it, to know what they're dealing with. but he can't leave any of them alone. not his dog, not his... boyfriend... not his new friend. )

Is that something you'll do?

( for me might be the implication, but he doesn't make it explicit when he's looking between both younger men. )

[His brows draw together, not at all appeased by the kiss to the forehead. Yuuri knows that Viktor's right, that they need to find out what's happening, but that doesn't mean he likes the idea of Viktor going off on his own. The doubt's already sinking in as he silence drags on. Maybe Viktor's going alone because he knows how weak Yuuri is right now. The thought makes him wilt inside.]

Yes. [He doesn't meet Viktor's gaze. Or Eichi's for that matter.] You...you have to stay safe while you're out there, too.

[Hmm. The hair ruffle makes him feel like a child, but he doesn't say anything against it right now. This is a situation where he feels like a child over all, acting so afraid. He's not sure he can be there much for Yuuri at all, but he can certainly try. Perhaps if he focuses on that, he can get past his own anxiousness.]

Right. It's like Yuuri said. If you end up in trouble or hurt in some way, we'll both be very upset, you know?

[genice]

Mm.

( He knows, and he does them both the courtesy of nodding. )

I'll stay aware. Knowing you both and Makkachin are okay will help.

( which is true. he doesn't look any less worried for a beat after, then he smiles, letting go. )

I'll be back as soon as I can.

( THEN HE NEVER CAME HOME no he's back before gravity returns but still, off Victor goes... )
