WHO: Chiaki Nanami and YOU
WHERE: Nanami's room and various other places after 1300 hours
WHEN: February 14
WHAT: Nanami ends up trapped in her room for the first five hours of the blackout. After she gets over the distress of that, she'll be tackling the most vital thing - finding batteries for her GGA.
WARNINGS: Not really, but will change if something comes up

A.

[Nanami is spending her mornings as she usually does right before work at the ice cream shop - playing video games on her bed. Since today is a special day and all, she figured she'd give a dating sim a try... Although "try" is the operative word here. She can still conquer them after a long time, but dating sims are always her weak point when it comes to gaming. But since today is the fourteenth...

This day is always so awkward for her. Maybe even a little more awkward than usual, since she might've actually made chocolate this year if she was back home.

Nanami sighs as she winds up going down the bad end again. I wonder if Nanami-san is good at dating sims... I should probably ask her. Because asking Hinata or Nidai would be too embarrassing, probably, even if it also makes her wond-

...The power shuts down.]

Wh... What? [Her disbelief is strong enough that the word slips out.] Why- Ah! [Suddenly, quite against her will, Nanami is... floating in the air? What is this? What's going on here...?!

After a few moments of breathing a little faster than what's probably good for her, Nanami realizes she should try to contact somebody. Somebody, somebody will come-

She tries to power on the communicator. There's nothing but static on the other end of the video line, and any texts she tries to send won't go through. It does not help the quickness of her breath at all.

Nanami can't stay here, though. She needs to try and find someone else. Thankfully Nanami discovers that she can move around if she pushes her body in very concentrated ways. She isn't the best swimmer, but she's not bad, and that feels a lot like what she has to do right now. With the guide of the light from the still-running dating sim, Nanami manages to move near the door. Not that she expected it to, but even that won't move. Which doesn't exactly help anything either as it occurs to her that she's trapped in here. And so, hand pressed against the metal tightly, Nanami calls out with all her might.]

Is anyone out there?!

B.

[Hours later after the ordeal in her room, Nanami will be much calmer and less... freaked out. Though still reasonably concerned. But in the midst of settling down, she'll come to a very disturbing discovery.]

My batteries... [She frowns into her open backpack.] They're running out.

[Going through her days with only emergency power and no games is very Not Acceptable, so not even taking into consideration whether or not AA batteries will be available for purchase, Nanami will immediately start making her way to the shopping centre. Perhaps you'll run into her while she's on her way or once she's already there, but Nanami will not be deterred. Batteries are Serious Business, you know.]

Wildcard.

[If you've got something else in mind, feel free to toss it my way! Also feel free to hit me up at [plurk.com profile] Yamadori if you want to plot stuff out!]

[Well, that's unexpected. But sensible! He gives her a half nod, jerking his thumb behind him.]

You're in luck. This place is the closest thing the ship has to a Best Buy. [He straightens up, pausing his game.] I've seen some battery-esque stuff in here, so if you're going to find 'em anywhere it'll be here.

What're they for? [He asks, fishing for hints on what kind. AAA? AA? One of those weird ones kids use for science projects?]
