WHAT: The volunteer team heads down to the planet and tries to get the materials needed to get the fleet running again. In the process, secrets and desires are revealed, magic happens, they fly to the moon and back, and tempers may flare.
WARNINGS: Sad backstories, secrets that probably involve violence, possibly sex and actual violence.

[Maes was taking things in stride. Was he freaked out that he was on an alien planet? A little. But he wasn't going to show it -- if it was one thing Maes was good at it was hiding how he felt, at least most of the time. Besides, at least this was solid ground. Sure, it might be solid ground surrounded by aliens, but hey, it was certainly better than being stuck on the ship.

Besides, they had a mission, so if nothing else he could focus on that. He's already taking in as much of his surroundings as possible, looking for places to start and where to go next.]

It does look pretty extravagant and a lot of places to check in to.

[He grins.]

I think so too. Let's get our barrings first and see if we overhear anything interesting.

[Emil's quiet for a moment, listening. A lot if the chatter around them seems to be people boasting or challenging others to step up and test them. A few pretty people of various species drift through the crowd, offering coupons or trying to entice the crowds into their shops.

After a moment he turns back to Hughes.]

Do you know how to find people who don't want to be found? Because... I've never tried it before, and it seems kinda difficult.

Well, normally I'd suggest we head somewhere dark -- but this place seems to be the opposite of that. Everyone WANTS to be noticed here.

[He considers where someone would want to go to avoid people. There were gyms, which could mean illicit fighting establishments, but this place just didn't have that kind of feel. It was more like...well everyone wanted to be pretty and fit.]

We might want to try a spa.

A... spa?

[He isn't sure what that means, but there are a few places within eyeshot that advertise as one. Tall aliens with glossy skin and perfect features call and flirt and hand out coupons. Emil doesn't know how to make the connection Hughes apparently did, but something about that idea sounds great. Sure, why not spend an little time being pampered and tidied up? They can look their best and question people, right?

Emil points at a nearby building.]

There's one! Why don't we start there?

Yeah. If this person is wealthy enough then they probably want to keep up their looks. Appearances go a long way. Gyms would be too public, you can get private rooms in spas and some probably offer other services.

[Maes follows where Emil was pointing. Well, it was as good a start as any.]

Sure. Let's head that way.

Wow, you really thought this through! I thought you just wanted to... 'pamper your skin and leave with baby-soft hair'.

[He's totally reading off the sign out front, with a tone of slight bewilderment.]

Well, I don't need any of that anymore, but it'll be fun to have a look around!

[Maes laughs, a big laugh that gets him a few looks.]

Well hey! That's just a bonus. We wanna look good for the higher ups, right?

[Maes taps his chin.]

Hmmm. I'm sure we could get you polished or something.

[That gets a laugh from Emil. It sounds so absurd, even if it's true.]

Yeah, that sounds like fun! Come on, let's go talk to some people and find this guy!
