A. Mall Trip

[This is before he's had the chance to visit a mall back home, so when Eichi first arrives in the shopping centre, he can be found looking around like an amazed child. His eyes are sparkling, he's got a hand at his head to try and see further, and he's not even sure where to start!

So this is what they call a shopping mall, is that it? What a large place, and it looks like it's made to look even more spacious, despite being contained in this little ship.]

[Voices everywhere, lively in every direction. How exciting! Ah, but where should he start? There's so much to look at, he doesn't even know where to begin. Food, tea, toys, specialty stores... He has to get to work in here somewhere, eventually, but he has some time to look around. But he'll have to be careful not to get lost. He guesses the best way would be to find his work place, and then walk around from there.

So, he approaches the first person he sees for assistance.]

B. Tea Time

[When he's not wandering around like a child in a candy store, Eichi can be found sitting in the atrium with his own little picnic. He's set up on the grass near some flowers, a teapot in the center and his own teacup in his hands. But it seems he has extras set up. It almost looks like he's expecting company.

Until he looks over to whoever might be passing by, at least.]

[He talks so much that he barely allows for an answer in between this barrage of questions and comments.]

C. Everyone Loves Bunnies

[Honestly, the costume he has to wear to be "Peter Cottontail" in this restaurant is on the line between cute and creepy. The x for a mouth is probably what does it. Eichi being inside definitely doesn't help.

His job, for today at least, is to stand outside of the restaurant and advertise. So, here he is in full costume, waving his arms this way and that. It's all very unassuming until he takes the chance to lean over a strange's shoulder from behind in this full bunny suit, peering at whatever they're doing. Checking their wrist communicator? Looking around the mall? Well, now there's a bunny in their space.]

[Aren't mascots supposed to be silent... It comes out all muffled.]

[ Whether or not he's allowed to do it, that bunny head is no longer safe. Ukoku's already glancing at it with interest. Someone stop him. Anyway, he'll let Eichi lead him to a table. ]

So how are you adjusting? This must be very different from what you're used to.

[ He gestures to the restaurant at large. One day you're running some kind of junior talent show mafia at a talent show hell high school (maybe?? this was his impression), and the next day you're scaring people away from Fluff E. Bunny. That's rough. ]

[Ukoku no, he needs this bunny head. They head to a table, and Eichi sets the bunny head down in a chair next to them. It's like a table for three, how marvelous.]

It's wildly different, but I'm a little curious about it, so I'm moving forward with all of my strength. I've done a little manual labor here and there, but nothing quite like this. [Is this manual labor???] A large suit like this keeps me warm, so I don't mind it at all. Fufu, but if my heart were to stop inside of it, I wonder how long it would take someone to notice?

[He says that so cheerily as he slips his arms out of the suit enough to be able to move his hands freely.] What sort of tea do you prefer, Dr. Ni?

[ The kind that someone else makes for him, and/or the trashiest most low-effort kind, probably. ]

You know, I don't really know! I usually drink coffee. I'll defer to you, okay? You're the tea expert. What's your favorite?

[ He's just going to casually lean around the table and pick the bunny head up by its ears to see how heavy it is, which is an important consideration, obviously. ]

It's difficult to pick a favorite when they're all so different! Fufu, if you're used to drinking coffee, it wouldn't be wise to go without caffeine... Perhaps the right oolong would be a nice first choice for you, Dr. Ni. I don't know the quality of the oolong here, but it tastes better the more you brew it. Isn't that fun?

[Try it, try the oolong. Eichi is going to get some black tea for himself.

As for that bunny head, it's heavier than it looks, but not too heavy that sickly Eichi is suffering. It might still be surprising that a frail boy like him can walk around with it on his head... He's a little strong, even while sickly. It's a Serious bunny head.]

[ Fun, sure…but it's true that acquired tastes are automatically more interesting. He's going with it (and pretending henceforth that he's never had oolong tea before and everything's very new and surprising). ]

I hope this kind of thing is exciting enough for you. I'm not sure I really understand what you were doing before, but it sounds like it was perfect for an ambitious hard worker.

[ being a high school idol......... ]

That's right, you don't know, do you? I'm used to everyone recognizing me by my family's name, if not my reputation as an idol. I'm a senior at Yumenosaki Academy, a private university for training idols, and I'll be graduating soon. I'm part of the top Unit at the school, "Fine." As student council president, some call me "Emperor," but... really, I'm a wanderer who's been driven from the throne.

[He just keeps going like this... And then pauses, smiling as he rests his chin on his folded hands.]

You're right, though. I haven't let my dreams die once, even at the cost of the dreams of others. [He has crushed everyone. Idol school is fierce.]

[ He listens with rapt attention the whole time, chin propped in his hand—he's not quite mirroring Eichi, and it's not intended to be mocking, but there's a tiny bit of self-aware humor in it. ]

Wow! You have pretty impressive drive, for somebody your age. That's great. [ It's not like it reminds him of himself as a teenager, or anything.............. ] Whatever your dreams are here, I hope you're just as relentless. [ Crush more people though. ] And if there's anything I can help you with, please don't hesitate.

I don't have time to waste when death is nipping at my ankles.

[Ah, so blunt. But he says it proudly, with a little bit of formal regret twisted in.] It's really nothing so impressive. This useless body of mine has caused more trouble than it's worth. But despite that, there are dreams that I'd like to close my hands around and hold with an unfaltering grip, even if I have to step on the shoulders and heads of others to reach them.

[He finally drops his hands away from his chin.] Thank you, though. I'll be sure to approach you if I have something I need.
