( OPEN ) sora arrives and space is hard

oo1; eluvio - training facility's anti-grav room

[ Look, in his defense, he didn't think this would happen. During his exploration of the ship, he couldn't help but curiously try out the anti-grav room in the training facility. It started out pretty cool — he's flown before, but this time the feeling is a bit different, considering he could control himself much better when he was flying rather than floating in zero gravity. But after having lost momentum, he's ended up ... being unable to reach the switch to turn it off.

So he spends quite a while flailing about fruitlessly, trying to get to that switch. ]

Aw, man, now what am I gonna do?

[ Lucky for him, in the next moment, he can hear someone outside the room, catching a glimpse of them outside the window on the door. So he shouts, putting his hands to the sides of his mouth like it'll amplify the sound. ]

Is somebody out there? I could really use some help in here!

[ Thankfully, there's a switch for the room's gravity on the outside too, so at least it'd take very little effort to save him?! ]

oo2; bajikan - acedia

[ Sora has wandered his way down to Bajikan, excited at the prospect of exploring and the possibility that he could maybe somehow find his friends (it's reaching, but who knows — better to check than not!). And thus, he's ended up in the Acedia district.

He's been to many different worlds before now, so the prospect of seeing another world isn't so new to him — still, it's exciting and interesting (it never stops being those things), and it shows in his expression as he silently 'whoa's at everything he walks past. This district is certainly a beautiful, peaceful-looking place ...

And before long, he's starting to feel the effects of the district's air, yawning as he continues to explore. He stops to look at one of the stores he's passing when suddenly ... he loses his balance and sleepily falls back into whoever is behind him.

Whoops, sorry. At least he's not asleep, just a little tired. ]

oo3; bajikan - ira

[ Sora's only just arrived in the district, so the air hasn't gotten to him yet, and is looking to check out this arena he's heard of when suddenly he's being dragged into a back-alley fight. Okay, well less 'dragged into' and more 'he got hit in the face with a can out of no where'. After a moment of getting over the initial shock, he's quick to turn his attention towards the rough-housing men in the alleyway. ]

Hey, what was that for?!

[ He's certainly not happy about getting hit like that for no reason, and the only response he receives is some scoffs, some comments about how a shrimp like him shouldn't be here anyway, and then ... another can to the face — or rather, almost to the face, as he dodges that one now that he's on his guard. Except instead of hitting him, it hits whatever unfortunate person is behind him at the time.

Sorry, person. ]

...Hm?

[ Exploring the ship that she had just recently found herself on led to Owari checking out the training facilities. She had only intended to look at the equipment offered and was just about to leave when she suddenly heard a voice. She doesn't have sharp hearing like one of her classmates, but she's certain that she heard something, so she moves closer to the direction she heard it from - the anti-grav room. ]

Someone say something?

[Nanami doesn't come by the training facility too often - usually to only look for Nidai, like she is today. So it's entirely by chance that she happens to hear the poor boy and then see him floating helplessly in the training room. His voice is muffled, but she's able to hear him clearly enough, so she rushes over to see what's going on. A little worriedly, Nanami presses her hands to the glass of the window.]

Did you get stuck in there? What can I do to help you?

[W O W.

Colette didn't invite herself to this scuffle, guys. The can hits her in the back of the head with a faint, bell-like ring, and she lurches while bringing her hands to the spot in protest. She can't say she's surprised that a fight has broken out, either, as this is her second attempt at trying to conquer the district. Last time she'd gotten so sidetracked by the side-effects that she'd forgotten her initial reason for being here.

Second time is the charm, perhaps, but she looks over her shoulder in dismay and growing irritation, no matter how it translates into a pout]

Everyone, please! Even if you want to fight, it's not polite throwing things like that...!

[ And the unfortunate person that it does end up hitting the poor unfortunate Nanami — what's worse is probably the fact that it makes her fall, and along with it, the stuff she's carrying, which means that all her games are going to spill on the floor.

But since she's so close, Sora will definitely be able to hear it and it's definitely so dire that he can hear her gasp aloud: ]

--The games! [ She has priorities, here. ] Ah, excuse me, could you possibly help...?

[ This is what she gets for not paying attention and getting hit directly to the point where it was a critical one. ]

[If there's anything that Yuuri has going for him, it's the fast reflexes that come from being a professional athlete. Though he can't say he was expecting Sora to go careening right into him, Yuuri manages to catch him and keep them both upright. That's definitely a step in the right direction.

The nearest bench is only a few steps away, something that Yuuri's grateful for when he's essentially supporting Sora's weight as he walks toward it. Carefully, he lowers Sora onto it.] Are you okay?

[ Sora can hear her, and see her a little more as she moves closer to the room. And boy is he relieved that someone really is there, gosh.

Shouting back at her. ]

Yeah! In here! [ In where? Sora, be more specific. Hopefully she can tell his voice is coming from that room. ]

[ AH GOOD a savior!! He's very clearly relieved to see her — and see how readily she wants to help out.

And he nods his head. ] Yeah! [ And then animatedly points a little left of the door, and starts making pushing movements with his hand. ] I need you to push that switch out there!

[ Luckily there's a switch to turn the anti-gravity off on both sides. ]

[ OH NO ... He feels bad when an innocent bystander gets hurt by that can he dodged. And he quickly turns halfway around to face her, looking apologetic.

But her words are good and he agrees, so he turns back to the men in the alley. ] Yeah! You're just gonna hurt people who aren't even involved! [ Like, y'know, Sora and Colette here.

Their words aren't quite working on the men, however, as yet another can comes flying at them — though this time Sora has a better idea, and in moments, his Keyblade is in his hand and that can is being hit right back at the men, smacking one of them in the face.

Did it save them both from being hit? Yes. Did it make their relationship any better with the already angry men? Nope. ]

Huh? [ That gets him to whip his head around to check what that can did hit, and — oh. This poor girl. Well he can't just refuse helping her, so he turns back to the men to make sure they're not looking like they're about to attack again, before turning his attention back to her and kneeling down to help pick up the games. ]

Sorry about that. Are you okay?

[ He does genuinely feel really bad!! Though those men who caused it certainly don't as they just laugh at the two of them, and Sora turns back to give them a bit of a glare. ]

[ —Oh, good, someone stopped him from falling right into the ground. He's thankful, if not feeling a little guilty for worrying the guy.

And he puts a hand behind his head, embarrassed. ]

Uh, yeah, I think so. I just felt really warm all of a sudden. [ Which translated into that sleepiness of his and now he's ... here. ] It was so weird.

( Victor was actually heading to the anti-grav rooms for his own training; after having dealt with it in a live situation, he's all the more grateful for the time Bodhi and Jyn had given him, when both were still here. When Bodhi was still alive. When...

He shakes his head, blinking as the sound of a muffled cry reaches his ears. Someone's in this module? He steps closer, peering inside to see a teen with his hands around his mouth. Victor quirks his eyebrows up, miming his hand being about nose level, then coming down. )

Did you need help bringing gravity back up to Earth normal?

( If so, he'll either slowly reactivate it, or try to get the poor guy to grab on to one of the supports if he can get himself moving properly again.

[ She looks around again when she hears the voice respond to her, but this time, she finally notices Sora. ]

Oh, hey! What're ya doin' in there?

[ Is that really the question she should be asking...? ]

Oh, yeah. [Understanding dawns in his expression and he relaxes now that he knows Sora isn't injured or anything.] The districts here all have some kind of effect on the people who enter them. This one just makes you sleepy.

[It's fairly harmless, honestly, compared to some of the other districts. Yuuri smiles at him.]

First time visiting Bajikan?

[ It's fine, Sora can handle a little fall ... Really all he cares about is getting back on the ground at this point.

But he's extremely relieved to see Victor at the door, nodding enthusiastically at his question. ]

Yeah! Can you do that for me?

[ Wh-What does it look like he's doing, Owari ...

He takes the question in stride anyway, putting a hand to his chin. ]

Uh ... I guess I was just checking the place out. But now I can't get back down! [ Putting his hands out to the sides, pleadingly. ] Could you help me out?

[ Crossing his arms thoughtfully. ] Oh, I get it now. [ And he gives a nod. He sure is quick to accept that. ] I guess that explains the scenery then. [ All those pillows and blankets and hills. Sora is never the quickest person to catch onto anything. ]

And yeah, it is. Just got here, actually.

[ Lucky for him, the first district he visited was the most innocent. ]

( Victor nods, holding his hand up in a stopping gesture. )

I'll up gravity slowly, so try not to flail around? It'll bring you closer to the ground without hurting, but try not to push off again until it's back to normal.

( because that trip back to the ground will hurt, depending on how this teenage handles himself on the landing. Victor moves to the controls rather than activating the hard switch, upping gravity by degrees, until he's back at Earth gravity levels. at that point he disengages the door lock, opening it and peering inside. )

Got a little out of hand in here?

Got it!

[ He'll do his best not to flail around!! And he visibly steels himself as he feels the gravity shifting, trying not to move too much even if it feels really weird as it's shifted to normal levels. ]

Whoa —

[ He can't help but flail a little, but only at the last moment, so he ends up landing on his feet before falling back. He's totally fine, at least.

But he responds to his new friend's question as he stands back up. ] I guess you could say that. I had no idea it'd be so hard to move. [ Crossing his arms. ] It's a good thing you came along. Who knows how long I could've been stuck like that.

I fell asleep the first time I visited this district, too. [Yuuri admits as he joins Sora on the bench. There's a hint of sheepishness in his voice as he adjusts his glasses absently.]

The pillows and blankets they've set around Acedia are really comfortable. In case you did decide to take a nap while you're here.

[ Well at least he's not alone with this falling asleep thing! And on any normal, peaceful day, he'd probably be happy to take the district up on its warm offer of sleep. But luckily, when Sora feels he has things he should be doing, his laziness takes a backseat. ]

That does sound kinda nice. But I don't really have time to be laying around like that right now. [ He needs to figure out more about the place he's in now. And also check for his friends, despite how little his chances are of finding them, if what he's been told about his arrival is anything to go by. That's one thing Sora never gives up on, though. ]

And how do the people here get anything done if they're always asleep, anyway?

[ Because he's admittedly curious about that, if the air is enough to make people sleepy, like he's experienced. It's like living under a constant sleep spell, or something. ]

I'm fine. . . probably.

[ "Probably" being the key word here. She doesn't seem to be injured, something that's obvious as she dusts herself off and looks herself before she reaches out to check if her Vita's okay. It doesn't seem cracked... ]

And it looks like my stuff is okay, too. Thank you.

[ Ah, good. Both her and her items are a-okay, and that makes him smile. ]

Glad to hear i— [ ... And then there's another can to the back of his head. And he places his hand on the back to feel the spot it hit — that hurts, gosh. ] Ouch ...

[ And he stands back up, both to be ready if something else comes flying at them, and to shield her a little so nothing else can hit her and her stuff, turning to face the jerks in the alley. His previous happiness lasted all of a few seconds, because now he's annoyed again. ]

Cut it out, would you?!

[ He didn't even do anything to egg them on!! ]

A switch out here... [A quick glance reveals what the boy must be talking about, and Nanami wears a relieved smile.] Mm, I think I found it! I'm sure it has to be this one... Hang on and I'll get you out, okay?

[And with that, she gives the button a push.]

[ And with her pushing that button, she saves him! But she also drops him from relatively high up, where he was previously floating. It's nothing he can't handle and he's perfectly fine, but he definitely falls right on his face. Smooth. ]

Whoa — oof! [ It's not her fault ... he's the one who should've been prepared for her to turn the gravity back to normal. He can only blame himself here.

S-Sitting back up, rubbing his face. ] Ouch ... I guess at least I'm on the ground again ...

Good question. [Yuuri looks a little stumped at that.] I've always seen employees in shops in this district...maybe the people who live here end up developing some kind of resistance to it.

[As if on cue, he ends up stifling a yawn right about then.]

Anyway, you said you're in a hurry to do something right now?
