( OPEN ) sora arrives and space is hard
WHO: sora and YOU
WHERE: eluvio and bajikan!
WHEN: within the first few days of his arrival here
WHAT: sora is being bad at space in various places
WARNINGS: none!
oo1; eluvio - training facility's anti-grav room
[ Look, in his defense, he didn't think this would happen. During his exploration of the ship, he couldn't help but curiously try out the anti-grav room in the training facility. It started out pretty cool — he's flown before, but this time the feeling is a bit different, considering he could control himself much better when he was flying rather than floating in zero gravity. But after having lost momentum, he's ended up ... being unable to reach the switch to turn it off.
So he spends quite a while flailing about fruitlessly, trying to get to that switch. ]
Aw, man, now what am I gonna do?
[ Lucky for him, in the next moment, he can hear someone outside the room, catching a glimpse of them outside the window on the door. So he shouts, putting his hands to the sides of his mouth like it'll amplify the sound. ]
Is somebody out there? I could really use some help in here!
[ Thankfully, there's a switch for the room's gravity on the outside too, so at least it'd take very little effort to save him?! ]
oo2; bajikan - acedia
[ Sora has wandered his way down to Bajikan, excited at the prospect of exploring and the possibility that he could maybe somehow find his friends (it's reaching, but who knows — better to check than not!). And thus, he's ended up in the Acedia district.
He's been to many different worlds before now, so the prospect of seeing another world isn't so new to him — still, it's exciting and interesting (it never stops being those things), and it shows in his expression as he silently 'whoa's at everything he walks past. This district is certainly a beautiful, peaceful-looking place ...
And before long, he's starting to feel the effects of the district's air, yawning as he continues to explore. He stops to look at one of the stores he's passing when suddenly ... he loses his balance and sleepily falls back into whoever is behind him.
Whoops, sorry. At least he's not asleep, just a little tired. ]
oo3; bajikan - ira
[ Sora's only just arrived in the district, so the air hasn't gotten to him yet, and is looking to check out this arena he's heard of when suddenly he's being dragged into a back-alley fight. Okay, well less 'dragged into' and more 'he got hit in the face with a can out of no where'. After a moment of getting over the initial shock, he's quick to turn his attention towards the rough-housing men in the alleyway. ]
Hey, what was that for?!
[ He's certainly not happy about getting hit like that for no reason, and the only response he receives is some scoffs, some comments about how a shrimp like him shouldn't be here anyway, and then ... another can to the face — or rather, almost to the face, as he dodges that one now that he's on his guard. Except instead of hitting him, it hits whatever unfortunate person is behind him at the time.
Sorry, person. ]

The pillows and blankets they've set around Acedia are really comfortable. In case you did decide to take a nap while you're here.

That does sound kinda nice. But I don't really have time to be laying around like that right now. [ He needs to figure out more about the place he's in now. And also check for his friends, despite how little his chances are of finding them, if what he's been told about his arrival is anything to go by. That's one thing Sora never gives up on, though. ]
And how do the people here get anything done if they're always asleep, anyway?
[ Because he's admittedly curious about that, if the air is enough to make people sleepy, like he's experienced. It's like living under a constant sleep spell, or something. ]

[As if on cue, he ends up stifling a yawn right about then.]
Anyway, you said you're in a hurry to do something right now?
no subject
[ But ... Sora stifles his own yawn at that. Yawns are contagious and sitting around in a district that makes you sleepy by default makes it worse. ]
Yeah, kinda. I was looking to see if any of my friends made it here.
[ Normally, the whole anomaly way of getting here would make it pretty easy to assume your friends won't be following. But Sora is not only used to world hopping being a Thing that's possible, but he's also optimistic in nature. He can't just hang up the possibility that they could be here — that's not like him. And he knows that if he's missing, they'd come looking, just like he would for them. ]

Your best bet might be to ask around the medbay. Everyone goes through the health check, so they'll have your friends' records if they're on board. Or you could post to the network and ask if they're here.
no subject
Everyone? Really? No matter how they got here? [ Just ... checking.
That network option could work, though. Sora's only skimmed the directions he was given but he hasn't tried actually using it yet. He hadn't even thought to. Technology is not his strong point and he's more used to physically looking for things he wants to find. ]

Who are you looking for? [Yuuri leans back against the bench, feeling a bit drowsy now that he's been in the district longer.] I can help you keep an eye out for them, even if I haven't seen them yet.
no subject
But okay, he'll go ahead and describe his friends!! ] Well ...
[ And he stands to his feet, half because it's easier to describe them this way, and half because he's got to keep himself awake somehow, and moving around a lot is the best way, probably. ] There're a few of 'em that might end up here.
[ And he puts his hands to his mouth like a duck beak, bending over a little to lower his height. ] There's a little guy who looks kinda like this. [ And then he straights his back to mimic Goofy's posture, changing his voice a tiny bit to sound more like Goofy. ] And a taller guy like this! [ And then he puts his hand up real high because Sora can't even remotely mimic Riku's height. He's too tall. ] And an even taller guy like this! He's a lot quieter than the other two. [ And then he brings his hands down to make motions to show ... girl's hair?? ] Or there might be a girl, like this.
[ And that's enough incredibly vague explanations. ] Their names are Donald, Goofy, Riku, and Kairi.
[ Then he pauses for a moment, before another terrible, vague explanation, as he makes circles with his hands on his head to mimic Mickey. ] Oh! And the King could show up too!
[ ... Congratulations, Yuuri, you've just experienced the worst explanation possible of the most easy-to-describe people. Maybe it's because he's tired or maybe he's really just that bad at this. ]
no subject
So... a shorter guy named Donald, a taller one named Goofy, another taller but quieter guy named Riku, and a girl named Kairi. And... a king.
[Well, he supposes the names are better than nothing.] Interesting bunch of friends you're keeping. What's the king's name?
no subject
Sora gives a nod at that confirmation of their names. ] That's right! And his name's Mickey.
[ What a colorful group of names, huh. But Sora is so tired, so he goes ahead and sits down on the bench again, next to Yuuri, and yawns. ]
Just let me know if you find any of 'em, okay?
no subject
[Seeing Sora yawn only triggers a yawn on Yuuri's end, too. Apparently those things are contagious! Yuuri tries to shake off the sleepy feeling that's just been growing stronger with every moment they continue to sit there.]
Ah, we should probably move if we want to stay awake. Unless you want to fall asleep here?
i've yawned at least a dozen times while writing these tags
Not ... really. [ As much as Sora can get behind lazy naps, now is not the time. ] Do you remember how to get out of this place? [ Because Sora is too tired to remember the path out, not that he paid much attention to where he was wandering in the first place. Oops. And seeing as their need to sleep only seems to be getting worse, he's not sure how much help just moving around is going to do them — they should probably just leave the area outright. ]
