[Open] New Kid on the Space Block
WHO: Hunk & Open
WHERE: The Eluvio, The Castle of Lions or Bajikan
WHEN: Anytime this month, from showing up to exploring!
WHAT: HUNK IS NEW! He just got here and things are weird.
WARNINGS: Who knows! Will update as needed!
As if things weren’t already screwy. He’d woken up on a weird ship, and was handed a weird black and purple suit to wear. He was told what was going on and then shown to his quarters, where he found his Paladin uniform, which he changed back into as soon as possible. Sure, this black and purple thing was nearly the same thing, but it wasn’t his paladin armor, and that was important.
More important was that, though he was given a communicator, he didn’t use it just yet. Instead he pulled on his helmet and made a call out of any other Paladins of Voltron.
“This is Hunk of the Yellow Lion.” He started, and in the back of his head he heard Lance rib him for saying it like that. Clearly they would know what color his lion was. “Is anyone out there? Hello? Guys?...” That last part had a pleading tone, that he didn’t want to be here alone.
Little did he know he was dead last to show up.
After checking in on the Voltron line, he left the quarters, dressed in the yellow and white uniform, and wandered the halls, exploring. Searching. He belly growled when he smelled food at one point, but at the moment he was looking for the hanger bay. Or, well, maybe. Maybe stopping for food can’t hurt too.
Feel free to find him here or there, in a hall or near a eatery, or, more than likely, in the hangar bay, trying to see if there are Lions around.
-----
After a bit of time he would most definitely check out the planet. Either with one of the other paladins or on his own. They’d given him tokens after all. There were seven locations. He might as well check each of them out.
Of all of them he would most likely be found at Gula, with his orange token, trying to find some interesting foods, some new techniques, and anything that would be delicious. There was also the chance of finding him hanging out in the Acdeia area. Trying to relax and find comfort. There were so many places to relax and be lazy that it almost made up for all the weird shit going on lately.
[OOC: “Prose” or [Action] welcome! If you’d like to talk about a start, you can PM me, or just run into him anywhere. Castmates, he’d gladly go anywhere with most of you!]

[hearing his name he turned, seeing the man there and... his face melted into a happy but worried smile.]
Shiro! [he trotted over to meet him the rest of the way, but that wasn't all. As soon as he came close enough he pulled the man into a huge hug, arms wrapped around him and nearly lifting him off the ground in a tight squeeze. For Hunk, Shiro was missing. That was the last he knew, so seeing the man brought more relief to him than anything.]
[For Shiro it might just seem like relief to find someone he knew here is all. But for a moment, the man was getting a firm hug and a soft relieved laugh.] Boy am I glad to see you!

the hug still surprises him—but it's not an unpleasant surprise, and he wraps his arms around hunk in return as soon as he's set down again, squeezing him for a moment before taking a step back. ]
Are you all right? [ there are no obvious injuries, at least, and hunk is laughing, but—who knows what hunk has been through, what point in time he's from, what has happened since the wormhole that hunk might remember and shiro doesn't. ]

[He smiled at the other, still worried but glad.]
All right? All right? I woke up in a tank like I'd grown up there and got told I was on some strange ship, when I wasn't, last I checked. All right? Maybe. I'm... doing better now that I've ran into you. Are you all right? What do you remember last? You're real, right?
[It all came in fast, on a breath or two, eyes watchful of their missing leader.]

I'm real. [ that's maybe the most important thing here. ] And I'm all right. I know it's confusing, and I wish I had all the answers, but I don't. None of us know how we got here, exactly, and the crew of the Eluvio isn't the most forthcoming with information about the anomalies. [ about anything, really. ] But at least now we're all here.
[ together, they can achieve a lot more than apart, even if it worries shiro that no one is back in their universe fighting the galra—though, if allura's theory is correct, that isn't something they have to worry about. ]

They really are good at not giving us much to work with. Most of my questions were defected unless it had to do with living here, or this planet. Which, by the way, reminds me of a darker but fancier Space Mall. [He glanced at the other for that reference, though he knows the other hadn't been there, it was something he'd know of, yes?]
I was told there are some good places to eat...
feel free to tell him he's missing if you want! i wouldn't mind
I didn't even know there were Space Malls. [ though this place probably is kind of like one? but shiro has no idea what the space mall was like, either, and not just because he bonded with black instead of going. he hasn't even heard of the space mall yet.
but because hunk keeps glancing at him with uncertainty and because shiro knows people have come in from different points in time, he ends up asking: ] What's the last thing that you remember before coming here? It's not the same for all of us.
[ and on a lighter note: ] There probably are. I haven't been to this district yet, so if anything catches your attention, we can check it out.
but... but... what if the future!
[When Shiro asks what he remembered last, he frowned more.] Okay, that's a good question, but, what if, and hear me out on this, because I know this is weird, but what if my telling you what I remember last is in your future and it blows your mind or makes you feel super lax when you get home again and you change or ruin the future and it becomes different. Like the butterfly effect, only no butterflies and no one on the other side of the world sneezes or anything like that. Just... you, me, the future, messed up because I opened my big mouth and said something weird.
[he paused to take a breath, frowning... then...Oh! He pointed as he asked] Have you found your Bayard yet? [Because that was all that was left in Black and, well... that was a good start.]
w....ell.... we just don't know
I don't think that will happen, but I can't say that it won't.
[ and, well— ] I haven't.
......i suppose... you have a point... >.>
[He didn't hear what he wanted to hear at all.]
[His brows drew together and heart fell a bit.]
...Oh crow... I'm ahead of you some how! Oh man, Oh no, they weren't kidding. Oh man I'm going to ruin the future some how if I tell you that you went missing and this is terrible. I don't like this at--AH[He slapped a hand over his mouth and stared. Damn...]

missing. ]
I went what?
no subject
That better not come back to haunt me. Missing, yeah. Oh man, I don't even know what happened, Shiro, but I am really glad to see you.

[ it can't be because he's here, can it? he's been here for a while now and it doesn't seem to have that effect on anyone else. and he might want to calm hunk down, but for the moment, he's a little shocked himself. give him a minute, here. ]
no subject
[...Annnnd breath. Sorry, Shiro. He's really just very worried about you. You're their leader and he basically saw you were missing and then ended up waking up here so... so it's all a bit weird.]
You're really here though. Right now. In front of me.
no subject
[ so they end up fighting zarkon directly? and they survive, apparently, or at least the rest of the team survives. that's good. no matter what happens to shiro, no matter what it might mean that he goes missing, at least right now, he has that knowledge. the team survives. ]
Do we beat Zarkon?
[ but also: ] I'm right here. And I'm real.
