[closed] now I rule the world
WHO: Obito Uchiha, Victor Nikiforov, Yuuri Katsuki, and Sasuke Uchiha.
WHERE: Gula District, Bajikan.
WHEN: Before Sombra's post goes live on the 20th.
WHAT: A ninja literally kidnaps a figure skater.
WARNINGS: Minimal violence. Non-consensual mind manipulation.
[ He happens upon the boy by chance. The boy and his lover, which he confirms when he eavesdrops on their conversations and hears them fondly utter each others names. The bitter side of Obito, the last remnant of his darker years, thinks it's sickening, really. He'd always thought so whenever he had seen any pair of two lovebirds cozying up to one another, shutting out the outside world around them like it couldn't touch them, break them.
He has to catch himself before his mind spirals into a series of destructive thoughts. He's a changed man, but only because he has actively made the choice to become a better person. There's no hope of repenting or making up for past mistakes. All he can do is do his part to cultivate a better future for the world he almost destroyed.
... And that means, in this case, taking small steps towards that, which will unfortunately involve an innocent bystander who seems to know too much for his own good. He'd gotten to know Katsuki Yuuri pretty well over the past few days, but not because he was curious about his life, his romantic ties, or his figure skating career. No, from what Obito's gleaned from reading the network, he's just a curious man who's bold enough to ask questions, to pursue answers that might endanger his life. And he might know more than the information that was provided publicly, and that's exactly the reason why Obito's decided to target him.
Obito emerges from the shadows when the opportunity to engage them in a relatively quiet setting shows itself. It's on a quiet street in the Gula District, away from the bustling crowds near the restaurants.
A gloved hand adjusts the horrifying-creature-inspired mask covering his face. The mouth surrounding his own is decorated with an array of fangs, each jutting out past the lips of the mask and the eyes are left open for his own reddened ones to shine through.
His voice lowers several octaves, changing the timbre of his usual tone. ]
Katsuki Yuuri, right?
[ He cocks his head for added emphasis, taking steps towards a slow circle around the pair. ]
I've been looking for you. [ Not actively. But he's been keeping an eye out, waiting to cross paths with People of Interest. Yuuri was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time. ]
I want you to come with me. Just for a little while.

He'd frozen again, forcing Viktor to be the one who stepped forward to deflect him, and it's the jolt of fear for his fiance that finally gets his mind working again. He thinks of Jason and Carolina, and the lessons they've been trying to drill into him for the past month. He thinks of the collapsible baton that he's begun carrying in his pocket as per Carolina's advice.
And yet despite everything he's done to prepare for something like this, something in him shrivels up and quails, thinking I'm not ready to do this.. And then another realization hits him.
Wordlessly, Yuuri tightens his hand around Viktor's and begins pulling him back--away from the danger before them. One, two, three steps, and then abruptly, Yuuri breaks into a run, tugging Viktor along behind him. They have to get to a busier street, where there's more people!]
Makkachin, come! [He calls, as they make a run for it.]

Obito doesn't have to expel too much energy in giving chase. He's faster, more agile, and is trained to use the environment to his advantage. He scales the wall closest to him, chakra pulsing at his soles and sticking him to the building as he makes a sprint that sends him vaulting to the adjacent roof. He doesn't have to run very far before he catches up to the two of them, and when he does, he lunges down and in front of them, basically stiff-arming them both.
If they run into his arms, the impact will definitely be hard enough to send them flying back. But he'll curl an arm around Yuuri's throat and keep him held in place so that it doesn't happen to him. ]
Sorry. It wasn't an invitation.

Victor hits Obito a half-beat after Yuuri does, knocked back but keeping his grip on Yuuri's hand. It's not enough to prevent him from falling; he's stumbled and catching himself from a fall by overcompensating forward and throwing his free arm out to the side for balance. He recovers; but it's from a recovery that he half turns toward Yuuri, still holding his hand, and... )
Yuuri!
( ... (makes to) precisely stomp down on Obito's foot rather than waste time trying to tear his hand off Yuuri's throat. )

V-victor... [As he struggles in Obito's hold, it hits him then, that this stranger could very well kill him or Viktor easily. If he doesn't try to escape, then...then what? The baton jostles in his pocket as he scrabbles at Obito's arm with his free hand, eyes wide with dread. Somehow it's the perfect timing, with Viktor stomping down and him making a desperate grab for the weapon. He might not have time to extend it, but it's still metal--that has to count for something, right? So he lashes out with it, clumsy in his attempt, and hoping it'll do enough to distract their attacker so they can make a quick escape.]

Well, first thing's first. Obito moves back, giving himself the momentum needed to lift the foot Victor intended to injure and thrust it towards the man's gut. He uses his own natural strength instead of relying on the aid of chakra, but the kick is still powerful enough to knock him back and wind him. Which isn't good for someone who might have just finished eating...
As for Yuuri, Obito releases his hold on him in the process of his elimination of the other threat, lets him stumble to get back his footing after being dropped down to the ground, and appears right behind him. His arm is back around his throat, looser this time, as his other hand twists the arm belonging to the hand wielding his weapon.
And continues to pull until the pain is intense enough that Yuuri drops the baton. ]
