WHAT: Alpha and Beta teams begin their mission.

Catch-all mingle log while Alpha and Beta travel together. Toss up a header for a specific day or event to keep things better organized and then everyone can tag around in that.

(Once we figure out when the sandstorm and fall into the gorge happens to split everyone up, we can add that too to close out the big group log.)

[ The memories of that time were growing strangely more fond the longer she was on some space ship floating around without anyone else around that she knew. For someone as deeply insular as Re-L Mayer, this kind of thing was a lot like throwing her in to a frying pan and hoping she'd do well. Socializing was not exactly her 'thing' in life. ]

Yes, there was worse, but it was the monotony more than the actual food choices..

[ She turns to look at him, for a moment, as he asks, as if confused about what he was on about and how he didn't know about ginger ale - but then finally responds. ]

No, nothing alcoholic. It's a soda from ginger root..

Soda? [ There wasn't soda on Galactica. In the Twelve Colonies or on Earth, maybe, but if it was, he never tried it. ] I don't think we had this ginger ale in the Colonies. And it tastes like ginger?

Yes, like carbonated drinks.. [ Just in case he didn't know what a soda was - there's always a chance, right? She's heard of worse things, but this place and all of the different places in the universe the people around here were from put a whole new perspective on things. ]
