Oros mission start

WHO: ALPHA TEAM (Carolina, Maine, Wash, K-2SO, April, and Sam) and BETA TEAM (Lee, Somba, Hayatori, Cassian, and Re-L)
WHERE: Oros
WHEN: January 11-???
WHAT: Alpha and Beta teams begin their mission.
WARNINGS: TBD

Catch-all mingle log while Alpha and Beta travel together. Toss up a header for a specific day or event to keep things better organized and then everyone can tag around in that.

(Once we figure out when the sandstorm and fall into the gorge happens to split everyone up, we can add that too to close out the big group log.)

I don't, actually. But I do like to be alive, so there is that. There's too many stars to see and too many philosophy books to read to be done just yet.

[ Yes, someone as old as Re-L has never seen stars, and as young as Re-L would be mad about not getting to read a few more books on philosophy. Either way, she plans to follow orders long enough to stay alive, that much was for sure, and disobey only if it made sure she wasn't going to end up dead somewhere out in the expanse of space. Not if Vincent of someone might have the chance of turning up from her own world. ]

Anyway, I'm sure no one around here issues orders like my grandfather did, so it should be less annoying.

[ if grandfathers give orders like fathers do, carolina sure as hell hopes she's not going to take that route, but maybe it's best not to comment on that. she lets it go, focusing on what re-l said first, instead. ]

Stars and philosophy, huh? Maybe the next planet they drop us off on will be a little better for that.

What, with well-learned scholars who will hand over their priceless old Relics? I doubt it. [ It would be amusing, though, but there would be a high likelihood that they'd lose her totally in the books and what she could find instead of focusing on the mission.

She couldn't help it : she'd literally been made that way for a reason. ]

I'd also have to learn to read an alien language, though.. that may not be too difficult. It'd be something to do in my down time.

You might be able to find a translator, the right tech that can help you out without you having to learn a whole language.

[ she pauses, tipping her head to one side. when she continues, she sounds amused. ] Then you wouldn't need the scholars, just the relics.
