WHO: Dorian ( curled ), Cullen ( stubble ) + Shiro ( bayarm ) WHERE: Oros WHEN: Throughout the mission dates... WHAT:A good many dramatic situations began with screaming mission WARNINGS: Nothing crazy ; will update if that changes
( tba with more cohesive things once stuff gets rolling )
( shiro nods, too, less in agreement and more to indicate that he's listening, thinking along. ) Back on Earth, it didn't happen often that people travelled to other planets. But I was trained for it, and I've been doing it a lot more since.
( no longer with the galaxy garrison, but now as part of voltron. altean technology is far more advanced than human technology; the same can be said for galra technology. for a moment, shiro looks down at his prosthetic arm. there's a quiet whirring sound when he clenches his fist, unclenches it again. )
Star patterns that look familiar, maybe. There's a few people from space-faring worlds here. Maybe some patterns match one of their maps. Maybe the people here have an idea how the anomalies work.
( he lifts his shoulders in a shrug. ) I'm reaching. I don't know exactly, either.
[ He hears the sound Shiro's arm makes, though he doesn't understand quite why it would do so. Part of him wishes to ask, but that's impolite. Nosy. He doesn't wish to pry. ]
Do you mean like constellations? That is the term we use in Thedas. They are like... [ He gestures toward the sky. ] Like images, though in truth, one must use one's imagination to see them properly.
[ shiro is glad cullen doesn't ask. most of the time, he's fine using the arm and not thinking about the fact that it's galra technology, that he doesn't know how he lost his real arm, that they gave him this prosthetic. that they turned him into a galra weapon, if haggar's words are anything to go by. when he thinks of it, it's always with a sense of dread, with bile rising up his throat. ]
I do mean constellations. The ones around here aren't familiar to me, either, but I'm not an expert on them. And maybe someone can do something with them.
[ he hesitates for a moment, then asks. ] Thedas. That's the name of your world?

[ A quick glance upward and Cullen frowns. ]
But I've not seen any of those in this sky.
