WHO: Jyn & Wanda & y'all WHERE: All over the place WHEN: February 14 - onwards; event catch all WHAT: Dealing with event shenanigans; hit me up if you want something in particular WARNINGS: None so far, though probable Rogue One spoilers
Having non-functional comms is not a new thing for Jyn, she'd tried and failed to raise Bodhi and Chirrut and Baze and even Melshi half a dozen times on Scarif to radio silence so not being able to hail Chirrut is... irritating, but it doesn't disable her completely. It simply means she and Cassian have to split up to find Kay and Chirrut.
It's also what finds her grumbling as she pulls herself down the corridor with her torch hooked to her belt. Maybe she's mad about the gravity outage, maybe she's mad about the darkness, maybe she is mad because Cassian is a son of a bitch. Who knows.
(Spoilers, she doesn't give a shit about the dark or the gravity.)
She doesn't have a particular destination in mind but she assumes if she wanders around long enough she will just stumble into Chirrut. And if not, she'll head to the rendezvous point to meet up with Cassian and Kay and they can all find Chirrut together. After probably slapping Cassian again, he's had a slappable face this morning. She's barely paying attention, but she still recognizes the sound of a stick hitting the wall and she breathes out a sigh of relief.
"Good morning," Chirrut returns mildly, but only after weighing a few other equally foolish responses. Coming in a close second was a complaint about difficult it was to see when everything was off, but now he's commited himself to this line. "It's very quiet today, ideal for prayer and meditation."
It makes navigating far easier despite the lack of gravity, though he'd prefer the hum of powered objects and whisper of air circulation in the background. There is a deeply disturbing lack of just that, one that drives Chirrut out to find the others. That, guided by the Force, he was drawn to Jyn first is of no particular surprise.

It is, however, some relief.
