[open] i heard about a whirlwind that's coming 'round
WHO: Thor and YOOOUUuuuuu
WHERE: All around Eluvio
WHEN: The early hours of Feb 14th and possibly some stuff a little after
WHAT: The power outages hit, Thor goes into action mode. He's around trying to help people and figure out what the fresh hell is going out.
WARNINGS: Nah.
One. lights out + by the windows and around:
[Thor had been enjoying a peaceful moment of quiet reflection by the windows in the early hours of the morning. It's soothing to look out into the wide, open span of the galaxy and watch the other ships in the fleet join them on their travels. Peaceful as it may be, it's also frustrating. He'd rather be far, far into the depths of space and away from here and not wasting time participating in a mission he was never interested in. He's still sulking about all of this, don't judge him.
He's so lost in his thoughts he'll need a breadcrumb trail to get out of them- or an explosion, perhaps. When the first ship goes up in flames it gives him pause, but he's quick to act before the next ship begins to follow suit. He sticks his arm out, hand open in the air for a few seconds before his hammer flies into it. It's possible it flew right past you up the halls, or maybe it swerves past you when it approaches Thor's hands.
Regardless, Thor is on the case. He has no idea where he's heading, but he's listening to screams, sounds of distress or worse- more explosions.]
Two. zero gravity + closed doors:
[It seems like the explosions have ended with just the two ships, for whatever reason. The excitement hasn't stopped, however. The lights flicker and eventually die off, but it doesn't stop Thor from wandering the halls in search of a source of trouble or a person in need.
Eventually, the gravity starts to go and Thor begins to float upward. The hammer is somewhat burdensome when you're trying to navigate your way through ceilings and walls, but he feels it pertinent to keep a hold of it.
That said, when he happens upon closed doors with voices behind them. He will allow the hammer to sink back down to the ground while he braces himself in front of the doors.]
Stand back! I will release you!
[That's his first and final warning before he positions himself into a position where he can grip the ceiling and deliver some swift, hard bunny kicks to the door in an attempt to muscle it open. If he can break it even a little, he'll proceed to try wrenching and prying it open from the side. If he can't break it open, he won't abandon anyone, even if it means talking to someone through a door to keep them calm.]
Three. gravity returns:
[Eventually, the gravity returns, not with a flicker but with a thud. At least, Thor thuds. He lands heavily on his feet, glancing upward at the full height of the walls and ceiling and noting that there is someone gripping the wall for dear life.]
You'll have to come down eventually. [He urges, holding out his arms.] Come now, I won't drop you.
Four. wildcard:
[Something else in mind? Feel free to wing it, PM me or PP me @squishyfeet.]

Three!
This puts her in an entirely new problem, however, since now she has to figure out how to get down. Thor's voice makes her look over, expression skeptical and a touch irritated--not at him, but the entire situation.]
Yeah, eventually. [Look maybe she likes it up here the view is nice??
Okay no. She looks nervous and shifts her weight as if to try and find a way down on her own. It doesn't look good.] Is jumping the only way?
no subject
The sooner you do it, the easier you'll find it. [If she thinks too hard about it, she might never jump. Of course, he won't tell her that.]
You could climb, I suppose. [He cocks his head to the side.] Or I could fly up and fly you down.
no subject
Not that Mio would be doing much better if the situations were reversed. She reaches for a fixture just out of her reach, swinging her hand uselessly at it. If she could grab it maybe she could... No, okay there's really nowhere to go from there either. Her body wobbles and she snatches her hand back to cling tighter to the section of the wall she's already got a good hold on, eyes wide.
She's only half-paying attention to him, but the concept of flying has her whipping her head around to look at him in excited surprise.] You can fly? Really fly? [sign her the fuck up]
no subject
He relaxes again when she seems to give up on that notion, quirking a brow at her reaction. He's going to take that as a yes, he thinks.]
I can't. [He sticks out his hand, open in the air as if anticipating something.] This can. [His hammer zips through the air and into his hand. Since he's already pretty sure he knows what she wants now, he doesn't hesitate to give it a twirl by the strap and fling it upward so it lifts him off the ground and up to where she's clinging.]
Are you ready? [He extends an arm for her to grab.]
no subject
She's too much on autopilot after that to bother arguing, so she scrambles off the fixture to cling to him instead.]
W-wait, how are we getting back down? [Just fall?? Jump down? Mio has some regrets about this]
no subject
[Thor can't help sounding a little exasperated, though he's still amused by her panic. He shuffles his hold so he can keep her steady and lower her hammer.
In a manner that defies logic and gravity, Thor begins to sink down smoothly and with ease. Admittedly, the drift down is rather fast and probably enough to incite panic, but Thor lands heavily on his feet and its all over.]
There, see. [He bends to lower her to the ground, straightening himself up.] Now, tell me your name.
no subject
When she realizes they've stopped moving and she's still alive, she gratefully climbs off of him to stand on slightly unsteady feet. She never thought she'd be so happy to see the ground holy shit.]
I--Yeah. I see. [Now she feels a little silly for her fear, even if it was perfectly justified at the time.] ...My name's Mio. Thanks for helping me, Mr...? [She trails off, prompting.]
no subject
If only we could have met in better circumstances. [But he'll smile warmly all the same.] Are you otherwise unharmed?
no subject
Speaking of, she rubs at her upper arms a moment and shakes her head] No, I'm fine, more or less. If the gravity's back on, does that mean everything's finally back to normal...? [Mio sighs, looking exasperated and irritated.]
Whatever 'normal' means in this place, anyway.
