DISTRICT 1 - CLOSED to Victor Nikiforov (

[Though there had been numerous dangers on the last planet they’d visited, it seemed that the ship was no longer the safe haven he wanted to view it as, either. That was why, when they came across what seemed to be a lively area full of people and excitement, Eichi didn’t waste a second in finding who he could immediately drag with him off of the ship. Victor had seemed easy enough to convince, and before he knew it, they were entering the first district they came across. It required a red coin, which they both seemed to have, and Eichi was very eager to explore.

He had a feeling that this would be an odd one, when they verified his age at the gate, but there’s still something so shocking about walking along a street filled with shops and restaurants focused on both affection and lust. There’s no mistaking that the longer they stay here and walk around, the more he has some interesting thoughts himself, but he does very well in keeping that to himself, at least at the moment.

He’s not sure the same can be said for his friend here, who he keeps glancing at to check on. Eventually, there’s a rather elaborate jewelry store that he stops in front of, pointing at the glass and smiling over his shoulder at Victor.]

DISTRICT III - OPEN

[For anyone who wanders into the district promoting want, they might run across a frail looking boy from the ship, hunched curiously over a very small patch of flowers. It looks like just one or two, nestled closely together, and Eichi quickly reaches down to pluck one from the dirt, ending its life just like that.

Turning to the first person he sees, he smiles and wiggles the flower a little between his fingers.]

[Honestly he wants to make sure they’re not poison, first…]

DISTRICT IV - OPEN

[Going from district to district can be a little exhausting, especially when you’re as sickly as Eichi. The weather is very nice compared to the last planet, warm enough to keep him from shivering, but cool enough to keep him from overheating as well. But even with the ideal temperatures, walking so much has Eichi short on breath, and it’s both that and this district’s comforting feelings that keep him here for the longest. He takes a couple of naps, curled up and comfortable wherever he might find a spot, but it’s when he hears about another interesting plant that he decides to work a little.

He can be found in a quaint little cafe, holding a teacup close to his lips and smiling calmly as he waves over any glancing face, either from the window or to whoever might have just entered.]

[For anyone willing to join him, he’s willing to pay for the lovely relaxation-inducing tea, so enjoy with him!]

DISTRICT VI - OPEN

[This is probably the worst district Eichi could have wandered into. He’s exhausted by now, as even a simple thing like walking around and partaking in activities has his body tired, and the feelings that it brings out in this area are worse than normal. He’s always hated his weak body, but now, just seeing someone pass by so easily, with all of the energy in the world— it frustrates him beyond belief.

He’s used to holding these feelings back and appearing elegant, but this sick feeling is twisting in his stomach more and more, and he can’t even be bothered to keep his usual guarding smile in place.

Struggling to push forward despite his weak body and take what he wants, Eichi moves along, until it becomes to much and he’s left having a coughing fit on the sidewalk. There might be some blood, but pity won’t yield any nice results, right now.]

Huh? Really?

[Goku pauses mid-step when Eichi speaks up, turning to him with the most openly trusting and gullible face on the planet.]

That's really weird... Is it made of gold or somethin'? [Walks over and leans in to examine the flower curiously.] Hey, how much money would we get? Enough for a big feast?

That's the mystery, isn't it?

[He holds the flower still for Goku to see, and nothing about it screams money, but...] Going off of the words of others, there are endless possibilities. Has greed led to delusion? Or is this really a flower that will grant wealth? Thinking about what level of "wealth" is promised by such a small plant also has me shivering with excitement.

But they say there's only one way to find out. Shall we each try one together?

Uh...

[This is the part where the semi-responsible adults in Goku's life should step in and stop him from eating random, suspicious plants offered to him by practical strangers. But none of them are around and so Goku follows his instincts which have kept him alive this long and are therefor incredibly good.]

Yeah! Sure! And then we can buy meat buns!

With our new riches, perhaps you could even afford an entire meat bun stand. ♪ It's an exciting thought, isn't it?

[He passes that flower over, and then moves aside a few steps and ducks to pluck his own. Shaking it from any dirt and brushing away a small bug, he moves back over to Goku and holds his up like he means to toast flowers.]

Shall we go on three?

Oh, man, then we could eat all of them! [Goku is not a businessman.] Yeah, let's do it!

[He takes the flower eagerly, though he takes a moment while Eichi is getting his own to examine it again and wonder how exactly he's supposed to eat a flower.... Is it the petals... Grass doesn't taste good, so he doesn't think a flower will either-

Oh, wait, they're going. Whatever, he just shove the whole thing in his mouth and pretend it's a brussels sprout. He awkwardly toasts back.]

If you want! One, two...

...Three!

[And in the flower goes. Ah, it's horrible texture, and a weird taste, and Eichi has to keep a hand clamped firmly over his mouth so that he doesn't choke. He wishes he could properly test a tea made from this flower, instead. That might have been an option, but how can he be sure unless he tries this first?

He's not going to be able to speak for a minute or two, but he gestures with his free hand to Goku's wrist communicator. Check his riches??]

[All according to plan, Goku shoves the entire plant into his mouth in one go and screws his face up in disgust as he chews ferociously. Ewww, it's sour! Just get it down, Son, just get it down- okay, swallow. He got it.]

Bleh! Gross! [Smacks his lips and he's fine again. Goku blinks curiously at Eichi's gestures, not quite getting them. Awkwardly, he holds out his empty hand and waves it.] No, I already ate it, see? I don't have anymore.

[I'm sorry.]

[THIS GUY... Eichi has to take a few more minutes, actually coughing a few times now and waving his hand at himself to regain composure. Ugh. He shouldn't be eating strange things with his health. If his family doctor were to find out, he'd be scolded for sure. But he can't be stolen away from here and removed from the action, so perhaps that's a good thing.

It also means he should be more careful. Still, with that taste still stuck in his mouth, he drops his hand from his mouth and raises his own wrist to tap through to his bank.]

You must be terrible at charades. I was telling you to check your funds since you finished before me. [But his mild scolding aside, he blinks in surprise when he comes across the number in his bank. Ah, it actually worked? It's like Wataru's magic all over again.]

It worked. ♪

Oh, you mean the money thing...

[Did Goku forget about internet banking? Possibly. Credit cards exist in Saiyuki-land, but no one lets Goku touch that shit. Until now! He mimics Eichi, taking considerably more time to find the banking app and figure out how everything works- look, mostly he just pays for stuff and hopes for the best, okay. He's not totally sure how much money he had before eating the flower but he's pretty certain that number is way higher than it was.]

Yeah, mine too! I think! Where'd it come from?

It must be the magic of this flower. What a surprising thing. This isn't quite the same as having the entertainment portion of my family's business again, but it does help with the limitations I've been facing here. I'm so used to spending without thinking.

[He does it too, but for his own reasons, see.]

[That was a lot of talking and Goku takes a second to process it.]

... Are ya some kinda spoiled rich kid?

[Goku's spoiled too, but that's different. His guardian just has a limitless credit card from heaven.]

[What a rude question... and yet Eichi can only chuckle in response.]

If I were to deny that, it would be a lie indeed. I am the scion to a rich family, and I have, in fact, been spoiled since my youth.
