WHAT: A whole bunch of stuff. A dispute between Ichimatsu, a date with Carolina, district shenanigans in Luxuria with Dorothy and Carolina, Acedia with Jason, Ira with Sombra + Reaper, and Superbia will provide an open prompt. More may follow and will update is necessary.

_{[ You'd think he learned his lesson and would have stayed back on the ship, but no. Karamatsu finds himself feeling overconfident in Superbia, like he can take on the world (which is kind of default for him anyway.) He's out of money, but he's certain he can get some more by showing off his ~*~*amazing talent.*~*~

An acoustic guitar is strapped over him as he stands directly in the busyness of the Superbia district, strumming vigorously a tune and belting out the loudest he can sing. It's possible you've heard him sing this song before, as he's quite proud of it: ]}

[He hears him before he sees him, having finally left the ship mostly out of ~~loneliness~~ boredom, and his face gets progressively more and more annoyed and disgusted as he continues to wander through the throngs of people in the district.]

[He stands just out of Karamatsu's line of sight (not that it was necessary, the asshole probably wasn't even looking) and carefully shifts his weight to one foot, removing his other sandal.]

[He then proceeds to wind back and hurl it at his brother's head as hard as he possibly can. Unfortunately for Karamatsu, his aim is pretty impeccable. Practice makes perfect.]

_{[ He's singing loudly an proudly by the time Ichimatsu hears him and for some odd reason right when the shoe makes contact with his head he doubles over, blood spurting out of some orifice— probably his nose. He topples over, a bit dramatically, and lands on the floor.
Blissful silence occurs for a few seconds, and then, aggressive guitar strumming with cheerful singing: ]}

♫ Ah, my brother threw a shoe at my head,
I bet he probably wishes I were dead— ♫

[Why are you this way. Seriously. He stomps in an irritated one-legged hop over to him and picks up his shoe, replacing it on his foot and then leering down at him.]

Would you shut up for just. Two seconds??

Of course not..! I am the greatest singer on this planet!
All should hear my angelic voice!
_{[ screeching from the ground apparently, nice. ]}

[He takes his shoe off again and thwaps him over the head with it.]

No you're not!! Jyushimatsu is better at karaoke drunk than you are.

_{[ OW. ]}

_{[ What Karamatsu says next.. probably only further agitates Ichimatsu— cause he happens to say the worse thing at the right time. Also, since the air is making him feel extra cocky, he's taking insults a little more personally than he probably should. ]}

Jyushimatsu..? He isn't even here for us to compare with!
_{[ ah... ]}

[It's a bit like being suckerpunched, and all the fight proceeds to go right out of him. Superbia can only do so much for someone like him, after all. In a last ditch effort to save face, he throws the sandal again, this time square at his chest, and then he just storms off without it.]

You're a waste of my time.

[Ax claps his hands over his ears as soon as Karamatsu begins. For a second he even thinks he's under attack, before his brain catches up with his nerves. No, it's something even worse: Earth music.

He'd thought he'd heard the worst of what passes for music on that planet. He'd thought there was no conceivable way it could possibly get more horrible.

Listening to this man sing, he knows he was wrong. Even after all this time, the depths of human depravity continue to astonish him.]

Stop that this instant!

_{[ Ax's command gets Karamatsu's attention and all he can do is pause for a moment, stopping the music entirely.
And then.. his arm slowly raises...
and then.. his wrist curves slightly...
and then....

STRUMMING. ]}

Who thinks my music is a waste of time,
But I just need to let him know,

_{[ dude you've never met this guy before. stop winking and finger-gunning at him like he's your pal. ]}

[The thing about provoking a distressed alien is they have no sense of what is a socially appropriate way to react to being aggravated.

Therefore, when Karamatsu does not stop singing, Ax takes the only course of action he sees available to him to get him to stop:

He moves to physically yank the guitar out of Karamatsu's hands.]

_{[ the guitar successfully gets yanked, and Karamatsu just stares at this guy with the biggest look of disbelief on his face....
did he just... do that?????

♫ My instrument is gone,

And hopefully still dazzle this fella ♫

Why is it still going on? Stop!

[Ax unceremoniously drops the guitar--sorry, buddy--and then lunges forward, attempting to muffle Karamatsu's mouth with his bare hands.

This is very dignified behavior befitting a war hero.]

_{[ Karamatsu stops when hands are placed over his mouth and he just stares slightly wide-eyed at this new person, unsure of what was going through his mind (yeah, he's that dumb he can't take a hint.)
If Ax lifts up his hands slightly, Karamatsu will replace his confusion with a charming smile, lightening up like a light bulb. Ax must have seen his free hugs sign! ]}

...Ah, if you wanted an embrace, you should have just asked me!
_{[ bring it in, bro, he's trying to hug you. ]}

( It's all following after certain things stay unresolved while others are up in the air looking for solutions. Friends have gone missing, yet again; it hurts, but in a way he tucks out of his conscious mind for the most part. He can't afford to linger. Now he's down on planet taking another quick tour of the districts in his hunt for Just What He Needs in the moment: and then there's this guy.

Singing.

With a hat for collecting money, and also a sign that says free hugs.

This isn't the shanking district. That might explain why Victor seems to listen to this highly inappropriate song (that he has to not laugh at, because he's heard worse, just usually while inebriated) and kind of.

Stands there. Holding his arms open after applauding politely, since he's not paying this guy for that tavern travesty.

BUT SURE.

LET'S SEE IF THIS FREE HUGS THING IS LEGIT. WHY NOT.

(It's been a long few weeks, okay, and he's entirely sure this won't go wrong.) )

_{[ Karamatsu perks up when he's finished to see a silver haired man, applauding him for his performance. What he does next actually shocks Karamatsu, despite the fact that his sign confidently solicits affection, Karamatsu always gets people ignoring the sign when he has it with him (this isn't the first time he's done this— he did it a lot back home in the streets of Japan.)
Also, he's not one to usually be attracted to men, but god, this guy is cute.

He chuffs some laughter and sets the guitar down, dramatically throwing his arms open in theatrical flare: ]}

Ah, sweet Karamatsu Boy! I shall bless you with a heavenly embrace!
_{[ He's going in for a hug, yeah, it's legit. ]}

( If it's any comfort, Karamatsu, Victor has enthralled millions back home, because celebrity athlete crushes just work like that. He's utterly unselfconscious, and he does actually recognise Karamatsu between the network and Yuuri's own discussions of the other man. This isn't quite as ridiculously out of the blue as it seems.

Still, Victor's chuckling when he legitimately hugs Karamatsu, a nice, good ol', just shy of a bear hug embrace. You're welcome? )

Ah, so it's a heavenly embrace? Wow. So novel. Karamatsu, I wondered when I'd get to meet you! You're Yuuri's friend, right?

( His hands come up to Karamatsu's shoulders and he steps back, giving him a good look over. )

You've been doing well? You and your brother?

( Yes they're standing in the district of gold, Victor's never talked with Karamatsu before, and he's asking how he's doing after last month's upsetting runin with the still unsolved murder mysteries onboard the ship.

Do we understand why.

... Not really. )

_{[ Oh... oh. That's... a good hug. He's not really certain when the last time it was he got a hug feeling that good and warm. A part of him doesn't even want to move, which is weird, because he doesn't even know this guy, but something about him is really charming.
In fact, what breaks it off is entirely Victor as he steps away, and Karamatsu just blinks a few times, slightly dazzled. ]}

A..ah.
_{[ he hates being thrown off guard like this but by god, he's thrown off guard. ]}

whispers... who is this guy... ]}

( this guy, who has no siblings, but who has younger rinkmates, would understand given his own proclivities to provocations. he seems to realise his own lapse in introductions; Victor pauses, then offers Karamatsu his hand for shaking with a Dazzling Smile. )

I'm glad to hear it. Ah, sorry, I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? Victor Nikiforov.

( what is his context in space? he decides not to worry about it so much. he can simply be whatever and whomever Victor Nikiforov is; it's an ongoing evolution. his genial smile stays in place, genuine as it is without having much depth of emotion behind it. )

_{[ how can somebody be this genuinely captivating.... Karamatsu is instantly jealous. He wants this kind of charisma— Victor isn't even trying and Karamatsu is already beginning to Feel It. ]}

I see. Yes, I.. I am in fact Yuuri-san's friend, you must be the Victor he has mentioned before. I'm Karamatsu, and my brother, that was Ichimatsu.
